A long-running personal blog shared by two authors with completely different approaches to life. And a lot of large, beautiful photographs of dogs and nature and places we've traveled to. Rich in commentary and irreverant in style.

We started blogging a long time ago. Our work hours never aligned with recommended psychotherapists and we needed to get our thoughts out. We are great friends, total opposites and long-time housemates. This was a way to communicate. With each other. With strangers. With consumer marketers. With sub-par meteorologists. With distant friends who wanted to see pictures of stuff we were up to.

This is the place. Our bucket of thoughts to share. You are welcome.
(We realize that most of you are here for the dog pictures.)

Name a person that you equate yourself with. (Yenny)

Today's Topic: Name a person that you equate yourself with.

I’m not sure I’ve ever thought about this topic before which is the point of this blog challenge, right? I’ve had people I idolize or would like to emulate.  I’ve had people that I know I don’t like and need to be eliminated off the face of the earth (certain co-workers will go unnamed), but I’ve never equated myself with anyone.

Someone I hope to grow up to be like one day.

Someone I hope to grow up to be like one day.

I would like to say it was because no one is of the caliber to be equal with me, but that wouldn’t be true.  The more true answer is that I’ve never thought that I’m equal to anyone because everyone has something they’re better at than I am. This is especially true of my friends and family. I have some things I’m better at and vice versa.  It would be hard to say that I’m equal to any of them and it would be a boring life if I was.

If I had to equate myself to someone, I would pick this cartoon character from Angry Little Girls.  Even as a cartoon, she’s a better angry Asian than I am.
