A long-running personal blog shared by two authors with completely different approaches to life. And a lot of large, beautiful photographs of dogs and nature and places we've traveled to. Rich in commentary and irreverant in style.

We started blogging a long time ago. Our work hours never aligned with recommended psychotherapists and we needed to get our thoughts out. We are great friends, total opposites and long-time housemates. This was a way to communicate. With each other. With strangers. With consumer marketers. With sub-par meteorologists. With distant friends who wanted to see pictures of stuff we were up to.

This is the place. Our bucket of thoughts to share. You are welcome.
(We realize that most of you are here for the dog pictures.)

Judging...always judging...

It’s that time again.  A day where I sit without internet and just be angry with humanity.  Yup, Election Judging time.  I still don’t really know why I signed up and why I keep doing it, but I do.  It’s long days and I don’t like people that much, but somehow I think I would help society by being an Election Judge.  It just really re-inforces my beliefs of the problems with people.

I got a new location and a new group of people this time so that was good.  Or so I thought.  I skipped the setup night because I had to work and let’s face it, I didn’t want to deal with this anymore than I had to.  I found out it took the group over 2 hours to setup 17 machines, so good choice on my part.  I would like to think I would have made it faster, but after our closing procedure last night, I would say that I wouldn’t. Nobody knows what they're doing and they don't listen to the ESL girl. They let her do the math, but not procedures.

As always, my biggest complaint is that people show up not knowing their jobs.  I understand if you’re new and don’t know all the nuisances, but at least know the basics.  You get a card, put it in a slot and hit buttons.  Magic!!  Ok, I’m done.  No more ranting until November.
