A long-running personal blog shared by two authors with completely different approaches to life. And a lot of large, beautiful photographs of dogs and nature and places we've traveled to. Rich in commentary and irreverant in style.

We started blogging a long time ago. Our work hours never aligned with recommended psychotherapists and we needed to get our thoughts out. We are great friends, total opposites and long-time housemates. This was a way to communicate. With each other. With strangers. With consumer marketers. With sub-par meteorologists. With distant friends who wanted to see pictures of stuff we were up to.

This is the place. Our bucket of thoughts to share. You are welcome.
(We realize that most of you are here for the dog pictures.)

Gas Prices

Gas prices have gone up a bit in the last few weeks.  I fill up about twice a week and try to time it so I catch the bottom of the drop but most weeks, I don't come close guessing it right.  The best I can do is to get the cheapest gas in the neighborhood.  I fill up at one of 2 gas stations that has gas usually 5-10 cents cheaper than the other stations.  I've come to terms that I am going to fill up no matter what because my family isn't moving closer to me and I'm not moving closer to them.

All normal as normal gets, then a few nights ago, I woke up and nearly jumped out of bed because I had a dream there was cheap gas across town.  I had just filled up, so it wasn't like I needed gas, but I had to get the deal.  Just so you know, the gas wasn't cheaper across town and I know because I happen to drive by on the way to work.  I'm sure there's a dream analysis program to figure out why I'm dreaming about getting gas price deals, but I have no idea what they are.
