A long-running personal blog shared by two authors with completely different approaches to life. And a lot of large, beautiful photographs of dogs and nature and places we've traveled to. Rich in commentary and irreverant in style.

We started blogging a long time ago. Our work hours never aligned with recommended psychotherapists and we needed to get our thoughts out. We are great friends, total opposites and long-time housemates. This was a way to communicate. With each other. With strangers. With consumer marketers. With sub-par meteorologists. With distant friends who wanted to see pictures of stuff we were up to.

This is the place. Our bucket of thoughts to share. You are welcome.
(We realize that most of you are here for the dog pictures.)

Bags 'R Me

All the spam comments this site gets reminds me of the problem I have with laptop bags.  I have an obsession of finding the perfect laptop bag. It's an ever evolving vision, so I keep searching.

My requirements are it has to hold up to 2 laptops, all the cables and accessories for the laptops neatly and organized, my cell phone accessories and  potentially a book/newspaper/magazine.  The 2 laptop requirement is not as essential anymore, but I like having that option.  I want to have assigned places for my stuff, so I envision all kinds of compartments for different types of cables and power adapters, so that they don't get all tangled together, but I also don't want the bag to be too bulky.  Tough right?

This is my current one - keeps things neat and separate, but not enough individual compartments for 2 laptops and cell accessories:

I've tried these:

I still have this one because it's got a ton of space in case I don't want a separate carryon I can pack a few days of clothes in there too:

I have this because I really like messenger bags:
This is my new current dream:
I hate returning things, so I'm just waiting for a store to carry it or somebody I know to buy one.
